AIMEE LADD, Ph.D.

Dr. Aimee Ladd is a post-doctoral resident in Clinical Psychology. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling at Illinois State University and completed her Master’s level internship at Chestnut Health Systems in the Adolescent Substance Abuse program and in the ISU Counseling Center. In addition, she worked as a Mental Health Associate at Methodist Medical Center on the Child and Adolescent Mental Health unit. In 2010, Dr. Ladd completed her Ph.D. in School Psychology at Illinois State University. During the course of her training she completed practicum training in the For Children’s Sake program, which provides therapeutic services to children exposed to domestic violence, and in the Autism Clinic. In addition, she completed comprehensive psychological evaluations on children and adolescents referred to the Psychological Services Center at Illinois State University due to academic concerns.

Dr. Ladd completed her pre-doctoral internship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield Illinois and at Sangamon Area Special Education District. Throughout that year, Dr. Ladd gained experience with assessment and diagnosis of ADHD as well as behavior disorders and learning disabilities. In addition, she had the opportunity to complete developmental assessments on infants 6 months to 36 months who were born prematurely or with neurological difficulties. As a result of this internship, Dr. Ladd is a Certified School Psychologist in the State of Illinois.

Dr. Ladd’s other interests include attachment therapy, working with children and families. She believes in integrating services to meet the needs of the whole person, medically, emotionally, bio-physically, and spiritually.
