MAUREEN TWEEDY, Ph.D.

Dr. Maureen Tweedy is a license-eligible doctoral resident. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the University of North Texas. In addition, Dr. Tweedy completed an internship at the VA Medical Center Illiana in Danville, IL. Dr. Tweedy has had training in geriatrics, pain management, rehabilitation, neuropsychological assessment, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She has also done research on diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and caregiver stress. Professional interests include health psychology, pain management, chronic illness, and geriatrics.
Prior to attaining her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Tweedy practiced as a licensed physical therapist for 14 years. She has experience in multiple settings including acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient, and wound and burn care.
